It's official. The summer has begun. I just killed my first mosquito of the season. And that fucker didn’t even sting me first so hah! I am victorious! (So far anyways...) Also, most of the snow has finally melted and the sun has actually been shining every now and then so YAY! And the day is almost 17 hours long which feels fucking amazing.

Plus I don’t have any more classes or exams left which isn’t too bad either :) I only have to write my BA thesis and then I’m done for the year... Which means I then have the questionable honor of going back home for three months. Well, at least I have my own room which is nice and I get to see everyone but I’d rather just stay in my flat for the summer.

I usually work the whole summer but not this time unless I manage to find myself a new job since my current place of employment isn't able to offer me enough hours. They are talking about 15 hours a week for 6 weeks which isn’t even enough to cover my rent for the summer let alone enough for me to put some money away for the next year. I have applied for what feels like a million of different jobs but no one even wants me to come in for an interview so it doesn’t look very promising. Just makes me feel like a such a loser.

So, I’m going to be broke, bored and covered in mosquito bites. All in all summer doesn’t look too appealing at the moment...

No, I’m not complaining about people just because I have had to put up with stupid customers all summer but let me tell you how I truly hate working. Although it hasn’t helped my antisocial tendencies at all.

Anyways, back to why I decided to take time to break my almost two month silence (I’m sorry I haven’t commented much on anyone’s journal but it’s because I haven’t been around much at all and I have no idea what’s going on in LJ land…) I just need to rant a bit about how disgusting people can be. I just came home from taking my friend to the train station and we saw ambulances and fire trucks and what not on the way. I found out why on my way back. Someone had had an accident and police was diverting the traffic and all that. The disgusting part comes next.

People were blocking the fucking roads in order to see the gore and mayhem on the street. They had turned someone’s horrible accident into a spectator sport. I find that so fucking disgusting and sad that I have no words to describe it. I can only imagine myself lying on the road, bleeding to death and people would gather around to see it. How fucked up is that? Don’t they have anything better to do than entertain themselves watching someone else’s worst, or maybe last, day on this miserable planet? Maybe it’s just me since I don’t even like watching the news because it’s all about how people are getting fucked and I really don’t want to see that. This world just makes me really sad sometimes…

Someone please restore my faith in humanity if you can.
